We welcome teachers from all over the country and with a broad range of experience. Whether you are an NQT or a teacher with more experience we provide an induction program to help you settle into our warm and friendly environment. Our NQT program consists of weekly professional development tips and guidance as well as a chance to meet with staff from all across the school. We also include ‘NQT + 1’ (teachers with 2 years’ experience) in this program to support teachers who have moved schools after their NQT year as we recognize this can be a challenging point in the teaching career. We foster a collaborative working environment and frequently set up groups such as learning trios, or working groups for staff to meet and discuss elements of teaching with other colleagues as a way of sharing best practice and learning from others. We also promote in-house CPD and encourage staff at any stage in their career to present and speak to staff more widely on areas they consider key strengths. We also run an annual two day conference focusing on teaching and learning themes, often in Term 1. We have frequently run this as a residential and it is therefore an opportunity to socialise with staff and enjoy collaboration outside of the school setting.
